Multiple Terrains

Hi there,

I think this program is phenominal actually and I am very close to making the purchasing decision, however I do have one issue with it, the lack of multiple terrains.

Creating one area, 4096x4096 large with a texture size to go with it is fantastic, but when you go to create a second one you have no way of knowing if it matches the first one.

So you create two areas, you think they look the same, but you put them in your app and they are very different.

Is there any way or any plans to incorporate the ability to at least view if not change a second terrain on either side of the terrain you are working on? It would be ideal to have a 5 grid terrain such that you are working on one terrain and you can view a terrain on each side of the one you are working with.

That way you will know they match up both with height and texture.

Thoughts?

I agree, multiple terrains would be great, for now just open both terrains in photoshop and copy the edges to each of them so they match. then you can go back into earthsculptor reload the terrain/textures and modify so the transitions are smooth. Also make sure the terrain scale height is identical for both, otherwise the height will not match up. You can use earthsculptor to work alongside any other program as you can easily reload the images every time you make a change in another program.

tbh i dont even think it needs multiple terrains, maybe it could compare one side of a terrain and tell the current terrain side to stitch to it? that probably sounds really dumb :S
